Start planning before fit-out
Business internet, cabling and number porting can have long lead times. ITSPLUS reviews the new premises, carrier availability, comms-room requirements, floor plan, power and equipment needs early enough to influence the fit-out.
We also identify dependencies at the old office, including fixed services, servers, printers, access systems and applications tied to network addresses or physical equipment.
One plan across multiple suppliers
Office moves often fail in the gaps between carrier, cabler, builder, phone provider and IT support. We create a technology workstream with responsibilities, dates, prerequisites, testing and escalation contacts.
Internet resilience, temporary connectivity and rollback options are considered where downtime would materially affect the business.
Prepare the new workplace
Cabling, racks, switches, WiFi, firewall, phones, printers, meeting rooms and desks are configured and labelled. Cloud services and remote work can reduce the physical move, but identity, devices and access still require testing from the new location.
Where equipment is due for replacement, rollout can be combined with the relocation to avoid moving obsolete systems twice.
Cutover and first-day support
Final backups, shutdown, transport, reconnection and validation follow a documented sequence. ITSPLUS tests internet, calls, cloud access, printing, WiFi and critical applications, then supports staff as they settle into the new office.
After the move, diagrams, asset records and vendor details are updated so the new environment starts with accurate documentation.
