A working example: the ITSPLUS Outlook AI Assistant
ITSPLUS has developed an Outlook add-in that brings practical AI assistance into the email-writing experience. From the Outlook task pane, a user can generate a draft reply from the current email, improve grammar and clarity, shorten a response, adjust it to a professional tone or summarise the key points. Users remain responsible for reviewing and approving content before it is sent.
Building this assistant has given ITSPLUS hands-on experience with the user interface, prompts, service connections and safeguards involved in adding AI to a familiar Microsoft workflow. Customer solutions are not assumed to be identical to our own assistant: each integration is scoped around approved systems, information, users and desired outcomes, with capabilities, operating costs and dependencies confirmed before implementation.
Choose one useful workflow first
A successful starting project has a clear user, input and outcome.
